Why do Christians get all fired up over Christmas displays and such?

I think you need to re-phrase that. Most SUnday type christians approve of and go along with all those pagan holidays like christmas. The ones who object to such pagan festivals simply know better. Those know the bible know how much of an abomination pagan holidays are. They will have no part.
