Why did curtis ward leave bring me the horizon?

I did read in AP about his hearing and his sight and the first thing that came to mind was that when I read it on Oli's Twitter, it's sad yea but if it is his hearing that really caused him to leave it's for the best. It's sad that he left, for me at least, but I want him to keep his hearing.
