Can someone explain some info about astro. houses?

I understand the general meanings of the houses, but I need some more insight...are there any more meanings for the houses that might be overlooked? also, my rising is aries so all my houses are in their "natural" place or whatever the term is EXCEPT virgo just disappeared! my 4th and 5th are cancer and 6th jumps to leo. I never know what that menas when I see that on a chart and why does it happen? does it have to do with retrograde planets? (i have saturn, pluto and ur ret.) since my charts houses are in their normal spots and i have no planets in the north hemisphere to boot, i got used to reading houses for their normal meaning, but when someone's houses are in another order, it throws me off a little. So for a second house ruled by libra just for example, does that mean they approach material/bodily issues like a libra?
